Eight Restaurant & Bars - Cordis Hotel
10 years after designing and installing the original Eight Restaurant, Wildfire were thrilled to be engaged to refresh the Eight kitchens and bar stations, plus design and install a new production kitchen and bar areas.

Working with the executive chef and his team, Wildfire designed some new stations such the ‘American Grill’ featuring a bespoke woodfired Authentic Grill and Rotisol rotisserie, plus the pasta and dessert stations. Also featuring in the Asian station is a large duck oven and a new bar to service the Eight kitchens.
The new ‘In Room Dining’ kitchen is designed specifically to cater for room service meals but can support the main production kitchen, while the new conference kitchen will cater for the new conference and event spaces in the Cordis Tower. The impressive kitchens and equipment line-up rival any high end hospitality facility, while the new OL Bar features an outdoor area with fire place for guests to relax and enjoy ‘Our Land’ – showcasing drinks made in New Zealand.
Commercial Kitchen Equipment installed includes the bespoke woodfired ‘Wild Series’ Authentic Grill, Rotisol rotisserie, duck roasting oven, Moffat cooking equipment, Cooktek induction units, Cyberchill refrigeration, and Halton extraction hoods.
