Te Puna Café, Auckland Zoo
Having designed and installed the previous Darwins café, Wildfire were again chosen to work with the team at Auckland Zoo and Montana Catering for their brand new café and function venue. Located in the heart of the Zoo with great hospitality and beautiful interiors designed to look like a reptile, this indoor/outdoor space delivers a true Zoo dining and event experience.
With an emphasis on quality ‘grab & go’ food, the café features a central island to assist the flow of the self service tray system. The island is then movable to accommodate functions after café hours.
To service both the TePuna café day trade plus large functions such as cocktails, weddings and concerts, Wildfire designed and installed large a back-of-house production kitchen including 2 Moretti Forni pizza ovens, 2 Rational Vario Bratt Pans & Combi Ovens, Waldorf cooking equipment, Halton Extraction hoods and Cyberchill Refrigeration.
